The Next Ten Years

What will change for you in the next ten years? Are these ten years you can afford to waste? The sobering reality is that you don’t get a “do-over” on this next decade. That’s why we’re seeking to persuade people to live this decade with a sense of purpose; to live for the things that ultimately matter.

Bigger Than Ourselves

We believe God is calling us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We believe God is calling us to trust Him and take big steps of faith to make a significant difference in the world. If you want to waste the next ten years of your life, you have that freedom. However, if you desire to invest the next ten years of your life into something that will still matter 100 years from now, we invite you to join us for a Decade on Purpose.

What Matters To Us

Our passion is not buildings or numbers. OUR PASSION IS JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR AND HIS GLORY. This passion drives our purpose - to introduce people to Jesus - and see them presented completed in Christ. When people are presented complete in Christ, God is glorified and our mission is accomplished.

How We'll Get There

We've divided the decade on purpose vision into six areas.

GLOBAL CHURCH PLANTING:

Launch 10 new church planting movements in areas around the world that are less than 2% Christian.

DOMESTIC CHURCH PLANTING:

Plant 50 ethnic reproducing churches in the state of Nebraska through strategic ministry partnerships.

NEXT(THIS) GENERATION LEADERS:

Identify and transition NEXT generation leaders into significant roles of leadership and influence at LBC and beyond.

ELIMINATE DEBT:

Eliminate the debt in 3 years through the equivalent of 3000 people willing to give $3000 dollars (less than $3 a day).

PERSONAL MISSON PLAN:

Raise up 3000 people in the next 3 years who will complete and begin to implement a personal mission plan in order to live a decade on purpose.

MULTIPLIED VISION:

Enter into a mentoring relationship with six other likeminded but smaller churches (less than 1000 in attendance) in the Midwest for mutual encouragement, growth and vision - the decade vision multiplied six times over.
