Whether it’s helping kids learn about Jesus, greeting guests, or brewing coffee, there are no “unimportant” roles when it comes to serving one another.

Why We Serve

Jesus came to serve, not to be served. As part of his faith family, let’s follow his example!

Serving is one of the greatest catalysts for spiritual growth, with the added benefit of cultivating friendships and building community. Best of all, serving is a main way we show obedience to, and become more like, Jesus.

We have several service teams engaged in important ongoing work like:

Campus Ops // Mowing Team (Ongoing – 6 Open Seats)

We are looking for people interesting in volunteering to mow once every four weeks with a group of about four other people. Trimming experience a plus, but you will be trained on all equipment before serving. Let us know if you have questions!

Security // Visible Team (Ongoing – 16 Open Seats)

Help create an environment that is both welcoming and safe for all who come to worship at Berean. This team provides information to leadership as they supervise the parking lot, foyers, and entrances. If you have an eye for spotting potential dangers, and if you care about protecting others, this role is for you!

Security // Camera Oracle (Ongoing – 6 Open Seats)

Are you comfortable switching between multiple computer screens? Can you manipulate browser tabs with skill and ease? Have you found Waldo? If so, this role is for you! Assist our foyer and parking lot teams by monitoring over 40 security cameras. Be our eyes in the sky.

We also have many one-time projects through our mowing and landscaping teams, trades teams and work-days.

From the moment a person steps onto a campus until the time they leave, Guest Experience helps people feel at home. There are opportunities to serve each weekend through our coffee teams, greeters, ushers, information centers, and more.

Each week babies–5th grade kids are taught the Bible in a creative, age-appropriate way while building relationships with caring team members and peers. There are many opportunities to serve with Kids, from check-in to class leaders to resource assistance and more.

LOCAL // Lincoln Berean is serving in schools, neighborhoods and agencies throughout Lincoln. We encourage everyone to pursue God’s calling on their life, while working as a church to make an impact in our city.

If you love Jesus, middle and high school students, and want to invest in the next generation, LBC Youth is a great place for you to serve.
